2nd year analyst

I was a lateral. I was brought in for only one round of three one-on-one interviews for an immediate start 2nd year analyst position. They gave me an offer, but it was a 1st year offer. I took it because it was a big step up to a bulge bracket from my previous bank. The interviews were surprisingly non-technical. More based on fit. The most technical thing they asked was to walk them through a process of a financing I did in detail.
