Equity Research Associate

After passing CFA Level 1, I emailed few people in the industry requesting more information about industry and positions. At the time of cold emails, most groups did not have open positions. Once they had open position, an associate contacted me and asked me to send updated resume. I had a phone interview first with group admin. It went well. Then next week I was invited for personal interview. Everyone was nice and asked mostly fit questions. Although they did not ask me many technical questions, I realized that they were looking for lot more modeling experience as one of their associate was leaving and they need someone to come in and contribute right away.

After I got home, I wrote thank you letters to everyone and got reply next day from Senior Analyst saying they need someone up to the task right away.
