Equity Research Summer Analyst

Coming from a non-target school there was no on-campus recruiting, but we did have an alumni in equity research at a fairly high position. He came to campus and hosted a small lunch where he told us about Credit Suisse and equity research in particular. After applying online in October I didn't hear anything until December when I got a phone interview from another alum. About a month passed and I got another interview, this time through something similar to Skype with an associate. About another month passed and that's when I got a super day at their office in NY. It consisted of 3 interviews, each 30 mins, all with associates (I later learned I was the only person who didn't interview with an directors or MDs). Not many technical questions during the super day but I was tested on my thinking (How would you value the iPhone coming to Verizon?).
