Fixed Income Summer Analyst

I had to fill an application form online which included all my details, leadership positions held and achievements outside of study. Immediately after submitting the form I was invited to sit a numerical reasoning test. Around 3 weeks later I was contacted by the recruiter saying I was invited to an interview day. The day would consist of 2 interviews in the morning (1st round) and if these were successfully passed then a further 3 interviews in the afternoon (final round). I didn't manage to get to the final round however, the people were very nice. It was my first banking interview experience and my downfall was not conveying strongly my interest in finance coming from a non-finance background. My advice is to not forget this aspect as you may have all the relevant skills but if you don't strongly convey your interests you will not be successful. Good Luck!
