Interview Details

What did the interview consist of?
1 on 1 Interview
Group Interview
Personality Test
Background Check
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Used to be working with the EAM desk of CS and had strong relations with the teams there. Their end had a new headcount for IA role despite the merger with UBS, hence my network, who is the market head for that desk helped threw my CV in for the interview. First round of interview was a simple coffee chat 1-1 with desk head to get a clearer understanding of my multi-asset product experience and product knowledge. Round 2 interview with different panels of stakeholders (RM Cluster heads, IA team and Trading team), Round 3 of interview was with the Regional head, which the HR called in a few days to send the offer across.
What were the most difficult or unexpected interview questions asked?
How would you manage our clients that are still holding the AT1s from CS when they come to us for advice?
How did you answer each of these questions (please be specific)?
Disclose the current situation (publicly available information), try to understand their impact and reason for holding onto the AT1s (to do distressed investments, believes on potentially getting some compensation back, could not release them due to liquidity etc) and give them the best and worst (which is the most likely outcome) case scenario in a timely manner. The goal is to still instil confidence in the client that it is still BAU until the merger is completed which may take up to years to complete.

Overall Ranking

Overall Ranking is a score from 1 star (very bad) to 5 stars (excellent) generated based on the Company Reviews of current and former employees at this company, taking everything into account.

The number you see in the middle of the donut pie chart is the simple average of these scores. If you hover over the various sections of the donut, you will see the % breakdown of each score given.

The percentile score in the title is calculated across the entire Company Database and uses an adjusted score based on Bayesian Estimates (to account for companies that have few reviews). Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.
