Investment Banking Summer Analyst

The interview process was conducted through my university's on campus recruiting process. This began with a variety of informational and recruiting focused events held by the firm on campus, including an Investment Banking Case Competition which all prospected analysts were expected to take part in. After these various events, applications were collected consisting of resumes and cover letters - roughly 30 candidates were given first round interviews which were held on campus. The first round interview consisted of a single 30 minute session with one to two mid level employees. The interview was a good mix of behavioral questions along with standard but pointed valuation and accounting questions. Of these first round candidates, roughly 10 students were given a super day interview at the firm’s offices in NY, consisting of three 30 minute sessions - two of which were similar to the first round interview and the third consisting of a case study. Each of the three interviews at the superday was conducted by a senior banker of the firm.
