Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Started with a coffee chat screen with an analyst, which took place at my school. Followed by an additional coffee chat with an associate, again at school. Then a dinner with a group of prospective interns and the head of analyst recruiting for the SF office (he was a VP). Finally, I was asked to interview in December, which is earlier than our normal recruiting process, which happens on campus in Jan/Feb. I was told I would be given an earlier offer deadline if I was given an offer after the super day in December or I could wait until January to interview again and it wouldn't be held against me. Sure enough, I got the offer, accepted and they never came back to interview in January. The interview process was in SF and consisted of three rounds, each with two of them interviewing me. Mostly fit, with some technical. Take me through a DCF, walk me through a simple LBO, what is the square root of 72? Hardest questions were: tell me about an ethical decision you had to make, tell me about a time you had to convince a group of people to agree with you, what are your weaknesses, etc. Was also asked that day if I would accept an offer if given one, to which I replied I had to discuss with my parents, but most likely. Heard back a day or two later and accepted a few weeks after that. Deadline to accept was Dec 27th and the superday was first or second week of Dec.
