Please describe the interview / hiring process.
CS interviews temps through Adecco regularly for employees on leave. There is generally only one round of interviews for 3, 6, or 12 month contract. Temps can be terminated without notice, so there is little time spent on the interviewing process. Basic questions around past experience, Excel skills, and personality questions. Typically only 3-4 candidates are interviewed. The general thought at CS is there is no way to determine if someone can really do the job until they are doing it. Anyone who does a good job will get a permanent position even if it's not within the group that hired them originally. There are always more job openings than qualified candidates. If you are looking for a way to get a job in investment banking, the easiest way is probably to apply as a temp at CS.
