Interview Details

What did the interview consist of?
Phone Interview
1 on 1 Interview
IQ / Intelligence Test
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Had to take a math/logic test after submitting resume. Then got accepted initial interview that was a 30 min phone call. Somewhat difficult because my interviewer was an MD who grilled me on the markets. Luckily made it to superday and had 2 back to back zoom interviews that were not super difficult, mainly behavioral with questions about why CS and why I’d fit in. Got a phone call the next week with an offer to accept/deny within two weeks.
What were the most difficult or unexpected interview questions asked?
After pitching my stock, got asked a follow up about the risks, specifically geopolitical. Other than that very typical questions about “tell me what’s happening in the markets” (sp500, nasdaq, 10y, etc current metrics) and then behavioral questions like “what’s your biggest strength”.
How did you answer each of these questions (please be specific)?
For the markets questions I talked about the inflation/interest rates. I pitched TSM as my stock given the growing demand for semiconductors and an opportunity to profit on a supply squeeze. For my biggest strength, I answered that I was good at building relationships.

Overall Ranking

Overall Ranking is a score from 1 star (very bad) to 5 stars (excellent) generated based on the Company Reviews of current and former employees at this company, taking everything into account.

The number you see in the middle of the donut pie chart is the simple average of these scores. If you hover over the various sections of the donut, you will see the % breakdown of each score given.

The percentile score in the title is calculated across the entire Company Database and uses an adjusted score based on Bayesian Estimates (to account for companies that have few reviews). Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.
