Summer Analyst

Mostly hire out of Texas and Texas A&M through OCR and interviews are conducted in two rounds - 1st round with two bankers on campus and second round with 6-8 interviews with people of various levels of seniority in the office. First round was fairly technical, with many accounting and valuation questions, as well as some basic fit questions. It seemed like the main thing they were looking for was a good amount of technical expertise and general social skills

Second round was at the office in Houston and had six to seven interviews with analysts, associates, VPs and MDs from the office. There was no set style of interview, but it was definitely one of the more technical superdays I had, with a lot of questions about accounting, valuation theory and mergers and acquisitions. Not too much specifically about energy, but you should have a good reason why you're interested in the sector.
