Summer Associate

Initially, the company came to campus and did a company-wide presentation. Not many Houston (O&G) people were at this presentation. Then CS held a dinner/cocktail hour on campus. At this event, a number of O&G personnel appeared. They spoke to us about why Houston, why O&G, what connections we had to the city and industry, etc. We got their cards, wrote them all thank you emails, and called them for 1-1 phone conversations. We then went down to Houston twice to visit the office. Between the first visit and the second visit CS held a dinner and invited the group it selected (I was part of it) to dinner. After each visit to Houston, we would send thank you emails to all the people we met and then try to hold 1-1 phone conversations with them. CS then chose its closed list for first round interviews, which were held over the phone. They consisted of basic technical questions and some behavioral questions. Then CS made its closed list for final rounds, inviting us to Houston for those. It also held a post-interview dinner.
