Credit Suisse had a first round video chat interview. After I was invited to NY for two 30 minute behavioral interviews, which was considered my final round. I recognize that this was early in CS’s process for recruiting, so I would imagine this process would change but it was heavily personality based. My recommendation would to be to have several stories that you can adapt and change depending on how a question is asked.
For example, be able to talk about how one story had team experiences/ difficulty working with others with different perspectives/ etc. Many of my questions were centered around success/failure variations. One 30 minute interview I had with an MD was far less formal and was a much more natural conversation as opposed to being asked a laundry list of typical behaviorals. In that case, make sure you tailor your story to why you are interested in investment banking and CS. My recommendation for the “Why CS?” question is to form your own answer by speaking with those at the firm; this demonstrates you made an active effort to learn about and join the firm.
