Interview
After the first round phone interview, candidates are required to finish a 4-hour financial modeling test consisting of forecasting 3 statements and DCF analysis. If you pass it, you will be invited to the office for the final round of interviews.
Interview Questions
1. How would you value a plant.

2. Most questions would be related to your modeling test submission.

3. Would ask about your transactions experience in detail.

4. Didn't expect the writing test at the end of the super day. You need to logically rebut an argument provided by the test. I was surprised because I wasn't told to prepare for this part so it caught me off guard. But as long as you've studied for GMAT, you should be able to handle this part easily. Because it's pretty much resembles the GMAT writing test.

Interview
The interview consisted of a phone interview, take-home timed modeling test, and 3 hour office interview.
Interview Questions
The phone interview was mostly behavioral with a few basic questions about ESOP's. Following the phone interview, I scheduled a time to complete the modeling exercise (4-hour time limit to derive statement of cash flows and complete 5 year projections for 3-statements plus a basic DCF). The interviewer reviews the model after it is sent back and set up a time to discuss it on the phone. After that, I was invited into the office for 4-5 one on one interviews with analysts through MDs. Pretty standard technical questions combined with behavioral questions.

Interview
Initial phone interview was very technical in nature with some firm-specific questions, e.g. do you know what we do here. Following the phone interview, there was a modeling test, after which an in person interview was scheduled. This consisted of 4 separate 1 on 1 interviews with an analyst, associate, and two managing directors. Fairly balanced between fit and technical.
Interview Questions
How long would it take to purchase all of the real estate in Manhattan? This was the most unexpected question and was mostly designed to see how quickly/creatively I could think and how well I could do quick calculations in my head.

Interview
There are a couple rounds in the interview process. The first is a phone interview; everyone is extremely nice and helpful. The firm as a whole is great and very professional. Most of their management come from backgrounds in corporate finance or IB or private equity, as expected. In addition, the question were about general behavioral info in addition to some basic finance questions related to financial analysis and decisions. Also, they ask you about info related to your resume and seem to focus on your team work experiences. I would recommend brushing up on a basic finance and accounting textbook, just so you understand the concepts behind the arguments you make.
Interview Questions
What is the optimal allocation of debt and equity of a firm? How should a firm think about this? Basically, trying to get your thinking of what makes a firm successful.
Which is cheaper, equity or debt? You have to lay out the different scenarios in which one would be true rather than the other.
