Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Standard interview process. Applied online for their Research Associate position, was reached out to by HR via email to set up an introductory call for the following week. Call with HR was mainly behavioral with a few basic technical questions, such as difference between sell-side and buy-side, any stocks that I'm following, experience with researching companies. Round 2 was a 30 min, 1 on 1 with the lead analyst for the group, all behavioral. Was contacted after about a week with an invite to superday. Superday was five interviews, with 3 associates, a senior analyst of the group, and the lead analyst from 2nd round, each 30 min. Superday had a mix of behavioral (background, why ER, why Davidson, tell me about a time, etc.) and technical (tell me about a stock you're following, anything I found interesting in the market, what's a stock you would short, valuation multiples.) For the stock pitch just keep it concise while including catalysts, they're looking for general knowledge. As for the short, they aren't looking for an in-depth answer just wondering if you can provide rationale for why that stock in particular.
