Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Applied mid-December online and received an email from someone at the office to schedule the first interview. First interview was 2:1 with junior members of the office consisting of background, fit, and technical questions (real estate basics, brainteaser, and some random Excel questions on how I would have approached something). Next came a quick online assessment (basic verbal, math, and logical reasoning questions), and then final round was a [virtual] superday consisting of four 2:1 interviews with various members of the office. Questions were not too difficult but a basic understanding of real estate would be helpful (cap rates, equity multiple, internal rate of return, "if you had $100m where would you invest it" type questions). Did not receive an offer but overall enjoyed the process and getting to know all the interviewers.
My process was quite condensed. I was under the impression that one of the analysts they had hired just prior dropped out and they were re-interviewing candidates to take their place (I had heard that their June 2020 analyst pool had a deferred start date of January 2021).
