Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Got the interview after one solid coffee chat and a referral from a slightly more senior staff member. 30-minute interview, with 2-3 behavioural questions (Tell me about yourself, Why Evercore?) and a lot of technical questions, ranging from basic DCF/Valuation questions to complicated EV/Equity Value and Merger Model Math. There were also a lot of thinking outside of the box type of technical questions like "What kind of things can a company do with excess cash? How would this be different for mature versus growing companies?
