Interview
The interview process was definitely more technical than any other banks. In my superday of 4 rounds, 1 round was behavoiral while the rest were all technical. In terms of technical, it was the standard IB Guides just a bit more nuanced/longer accounting technicals. I was also asked a full business case-styled question where I was comparing two business models.
Interview Questions
The most difficult question was when I was asked to compare the business models of OpenAI and Microsoft. I was asked questions about which multiple to use, how to value the business, where would I look to see for growth drivers.

P/E of 20x, Ev/EBITDa of 10x, 20 million interest expense, 5% IR, D/A of 20 million, EQ of 200 million -> find tax rate
Walk me through a deal? If you were buyer, what would you consider when doing the acquisition? Why did you say the price was low (i said the acquisition price was low bc the company got screwed over bc of higher rates)

First round interview basically entirely technical. Only two behaviorals (tmay, why evr). Then asked about a deal and many conceptual technical questions (not run of the mill rx guides questions)
Interview Questions
Almost all of the questions were very conceptual in nature which made me think outside of the box. Ex: how to incentivize a company to exchange to try to capture a discount given that you have an unrestricted subsidiary.

Interview
The first two rounds of the interview are Evercore's typical way to think out the competition. I did not find the first two rounds to be too difficult. Some basic merger math, back solving for tax rates, and behavioral. However, the Superday was very technical and I do not believe any of the 4 candidates from that day got the offer. I got put on hold for a month then rejected.
Interview Questions
I don't remember off the top of my head. I remember being asked a merger model question to solve for a tax rate to make the hypothetical deal accretive, which was impoosible.

The first round was two Zoom interviews, one associate and one analyst. Brief behavioral questions in the first interview, but essentially all technical. Hardest questions were accretion dillution ones. A standard debt accounting question threw in PIK interest as a curveball.
Interview Questions
The effect of debt on financial statements with PIK interest. All in the merger math is purchased with both stock and debt. Bring a calculator because you'll have to discount back to PV.
