Summer Analyst

I interviewed for Evercore’s Restructuring Summer Analyst role in London. The process included an in-person assessment centre with a financial knowledge test and several interviews with members of the team across different seniority levels.

The interviews covered technical knowledge and motivation for joining Evercore and working in restructuring. Some discussions became quite detailed, including questions on drop-down transactions, moving collateral and the implications for creditors. Follow-up questions pushed beyond definitions and required explaining the commercial logic behind a transaction.

Preparation should cover accounting, valuation, capital structures and restructuring mechanics, alongside a clear explanation of your interest in the team. I ultimately received an offer by phone.
