Summer Associate Intern

I had been talking with a friend at CS about IB at another bank, and he asked whether I had thought about CS. I explained I had been rejected for SA, but unsure why. He did some digging, found that they really liked what they saw but didn't want final year students for SA. But it turned out a FT position had become available and I got a phone call from HR asking if I would come in the following day to interview for it.

There were two other guys interviewing for the position, both former CS interns as it turned out. I had four half hour interviews, each one on one with an associate, two VPs, and a director. Overall these were pleasant and mostly aimed at motivational/fit questions. In one interview, with one of the VPs, who was playing the bad cop, we did a fair bit of technical stuff, but nothing too crazy. I enjoyed talking with all four of them. I didn't get the offer as they felt safer taking one of the former interns, but I apparently did make a good impression..
