Interview
Applied online. Heard back within ~1 month through HR and the interview was quickly scheduled. My interview consisted of a 2 on 1 with higher ups who had a long tenure with the organization. It was mainly behavioral and knowledge-based (what does the Fed do, tell me about a time you had to deal with..., how would you approach...) and anything more technical was qualitative (what would the Fed do in... scenario).
Interview Questions
Was informed the interview would be mainly behavioral so anything technical I wasn't as prepared for. Walk me through what the Fed would do in a down economy?

Interview
Friendly interviewers, one came from my school in the Midwest and we had been in the same math class the year prior. There were two rounds of interviews. They flew me in for the first round which was 30 min at their office and asked me mostly behavioral questions, and wanted to know my programming (STATA) background and research background. Also asked me about my post-graduate plans. Second round was 1 hr over skype.
Interview Questions
I was asked what I learned specifically in my Econometrics class for the STATA program (specific functions). It was difficult because I had forgotten mostly what I learned. I also was asked what my post-graduate plans are and they seem to look for people interested in getting their PH.D in economics. Also I was asked about recent news that the Fed appeared in and to summarize the most recent press release. Lastly, I had not expected to be asked which type of research I was more interested in, finance vs macro vs micro.

Interview
We met in her office and it was a very informal laid back interview. She asked me to walk her through my resume and asked me a few behavioral questions. We had a common interest and I explained my interest in photography and I need an example on her desk.
Interview Questions
What was your greatest weakness? I hadn't prepared myself for this questions but I think I messed it up because I basically said that I work too hard. It was a BS answer but it was the best I could think of at the current time.

Interview
Interview consisted of approximately 3 rounds.

Round 1 -

The questions asked were general about the Federal Reserve System and some simple "what-if" scenarios. Interviewer was gauging interest and overall passion for the position and the Federal Reserve System as a whole.

Round 2 -

This interview was with two active analysts who asked about your technical capabilities; excel and pivot tables were stressed. This interview was more technical than the first, but these analysts also wanted to know if you would be a culture fit within their program.

Round 3 -

A follow up interview on any remaining questions. Nothing too technical; once again wanted to gauge interest in the position and knowledge of the markets.
