I applied online and received an email from HR the next day, after which I had a 20min phone screen with HR. Superday was 2 weeks after, which consisted of 3 interviews with an MD, Associate, and VP. First two interviews were largely behavioral (ex. tell me about a time when you had a challenging work partner, why should we select you for this position etc.) and some market related questions (where do you see the market heading in the next 12 months, why has M&A activity slowed down in the past year). Third interview, was all technical starting with basic financial statement Qs(walk me through depreciation Q, etc.) and some market related questions regarding how YTW, YTM, YTC change relative to movements in bond prices.

Applied online, Internal recruiter connected me with hiring manager, 15min phone call with hiring manager (background/behavioral), 45 min phone interview with Senior Associate (behavior/ technical: How do you calculate free cash flow? Rank the different types of debt from cheapest to most expensive. A Co. buys $x worth of factories with debt. How are all 3 statements affected at the start of "year 1", before anything else happens?) was asked same day when I could travel to their office, flew me down for super day (4 30 min rounds) MDs wont ask technicals but VP's and Associates will ($1 increase in EBITDA or $1 decrease in Debt? type stuff). Saw the sheet they pulled technical Q's from, 99% sure its the 400 IBD Questions PDF from the Breakingintowallstreet.com course from Mergers and Inquisitions.
