First round phone screen. General behavior questions and typical banking questions. Nothing out of the ordinary. 3 days later, received a second round phone screen. Same thing. First one was an analyst and the second one was an associate. When asked about Gleacher's trajectory as whole and its recent external acquisition, both were indifferent to it and did not show much emotion. Seemed like morale is pretty bland at the firm right now. Both mentioned that deal flow has declined significantly in the past few years and that they have mostly been pitching and throwing ideas on the wall and hoping that they will stick. Interview flowed smoothly but did not get invitation to superday.
