Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Resume drop (+internal referral) got me a first round interview, which was actually conducted by a VP from IMD. The interview was about 45 minutes over the phone and touched on resume + why finance + why GS, then got into a couple of technical questions (probability and brain teasers). Within a few hours, I received an email inviting me to a super day. Super day consisted of 30 minute technical interviews in the morning with analyst/associate/VPs from different strats teams, all 2-on-1. Candidates then had a chance to eat lunch with current strats (non-evaluative) and tour the Equities and FICC trading floors. About 1/2 or 1/3 of candidates were invited back for additional interviews in the evening with hiring managers. The content of these interviews varied a lot more and were generally less technical. Candidates were updated on their status within a week of the super day.
