What did the interview consist of?
Phone Interview
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Lateral hiring for an Analyst position. Interviewed with GS Cross Markets Group team. Cold emailed a VP, got on a phone with him and he liked me. A few months later I reached out and asked about updates on the recruiting front. He passed my resume to the hiring team. in a few weeks, I had a phone screen scheduled with one MD that kind of grilled me. Asked typical questions: walk me through your resume, talk about one of your deals, and then asked a few technical questions and a brain teaser "would you rather get X million now or Y dollars a day for the rest of your life" or something like that. Technical questions where nothing special. Deal questions where a little more detailed.
