Investment Banking Analyst

Interviewed for a group-specific process within Goldman Sachs IBD. Superday consisted of 3 back to back interviews with 2 MD's in each, representing heads of certain teams. Interviews were a very wide range, but overall felt fairly "conversational" and there was a huge emphasis on cultural fit and understanding client needs. Came away understanding why GS is considered the best in the business by many, and there was an overall very warm/collegial environment.

Came from a super non-target, so was asked questions about my background, etc. Was also asked some situational questions about how I would structure certain deals, as well as some random math/probability questions which I was able to walk them through. I don't think I received any questions that were unfair or that were meant to trick me.

From hearing about the superday to the actual interview was ~7 days, and I heard back with an offer about 3 days after that.
