Investment Banking Summer Analyst

The interview process was really grueling. I had 3 interviewers for first round that was in Chinese, German and English. I had to be able to walk through financial statements, go through DCFs in all three languages, etc. It tested your ability to be flexible and multitask. There were also a lot of 'case' like questions of a company's scenario-- almost like a PE interview which took me by surprise. I had pencil and paper out the entire time. The associates and analysts were definitely the ones involved in weeding out the candidates, as the interview with VPs and MDs were generally pretty relaxed. The latter was much more behavioral focused and we talked a bit about the current markets and what my outlook is.
