Please describe the interview / hiring process.
The first few rounds consisted of 4-6 phone call conversations with managers and current employees. They were very conversational and laid back, essentially the goal was to gauge how well candidates can articulate themselves over the phone. You'll be asked to give your take on the market. The last round that I got to consisted of a 45 min interview in front of a panel of 5 employees or managers. They give you 4 pitch decks outlining four different funds offered by Goldman about a week prior to the interview. You'll be put into a role-play. Do not stress on the details in the funds, that was my issue. They ask very base-level questions (ie. historic performance numbers, etc.). Memorize these stats for each fund and be conversational and you will be fine.
