Background Check
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I applied for early careers role out on my graduate school hiring website called hand shake. The hiring process was straightforward, was reached out by a recruiter to complete a hirevue. I got dressed and cleaned up like a real interview, and conducted the hirevue (which is a short form video interview). After that, I made it to the superday event where I was scheduled to speak with 3 people from the team. The day before Superday we all got on a call to get a great description/overview of what the team does and what we would be doing day to day as a project manager - we would be working across the firm to build solutions (sounded like software /platforms) to further enable different teams at GS. They called themselves as 'internal consultants' to GS. The interviews were great and behavioral - 'what's your greatest strength, and worst weakness'. 'What is your proudest accomplishment at work.' 'Tell me a time when you encountered a challenge at work and how you handled it'. 'Why do you want to pivot to banking and why Goldman Sachs.' 'Walk me through your resume'. None of it was too hard and the people I spoke with were very friendly. Each interview was 20-25 min and the interviewer almost always gave half of that time for you to ask questions - COME PREPARED with great questions showing how interested you are in the role.

I was asked to fill out a quite comprehensive compensation questionnaire. They wanted very specific information on your salary, bonus, and complete compensation history going back two years and the forms said they would follow up with W2s or company paystubs, so withholding information wasn't really an option and would outright disqualify me from further evaluation. I entered my base salary, bonuses, and any other compensation I've received.
