Summer Analyst

It was for a quant role, in the engineering department.

I had a test first, a week or 2 before the interviews were scheduled. Test was hard, but you only need to focus on clearing sectional cut-off. So, I know someone who coded like a n^3 solution using lot of loops for a grid based programming problem (where graph should have been used) and couldn't pass all test cases but somehow still cleared the test.

I had 5 rounds of interviews in 1 day, but that is because this was because GS recruits on-campus, in my university. I was asked quantitative questions on probability and statistics, as well as some puzzles. I was also asked some programming questions. Honestly, you can just say you haven't learnt the advanced stuff yet and they will still let you move forward in the interview prcoess.
