Summer Analyst

Went to a Goldman Sachs event at my school (target school). Applied by sending a cover letter and CV. Got invited to an interview 3 weeks later. The first interview was a half hour 1-1 interview at the Goldman Sachs offices in London. I was invited to the final round of interviews six days after the first interview. The final round consisted of three back to back interviews primarily with Executive Directors. HR called six days later and offered me the internship.

It is very important to follow the financial news (FT, WSJ, the Economist). Moreover, the interviewer might spend 10-14 hours with you everyday so I believe that being a nice, friendly and interesting person at the interview is very importent.
