What did the interview consist of?

Phone Interview

Please describe the interview / hiring process.

Applied with the usual stuff online. Visited GS a few weeks prior to application with a study tour. No online tests, got invited for 30 minute phone interview roughly 6 weeks after submitting everything online. For some reason, interview got postponed a week after an initial date was scheduled.

Interview itself was very much focussed on who I am. Maybe also because I have an engineering background. Interviewer seemed really interested. Talked for about 15 minutes about my CV, general competency questions like leadership, hard work etc and very short about some companies in my field then talked for 15 minutes about my hobbies and why I was so interested in them. Wunderful experience, interview was a two way street.

Assume I'm not going to be invited to an AC as I haven't heard back for a while now. Hard to pinpoint were it went wrong. Probably combination of not standing out enough and the fact that the recruiting season is ending and available spaces are running out.
