Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Saw counsel (attorney) position listed at the firm. Contacted friend I knew worked there. Met him for coffee and he had good things to say about the North Carolina office and his experience. Talked to recruiting manager. Interviewed with the attorney I would be working for and two attorneys I would be working with. No technical questions beyond asking about my background in law and how it related to the position. Interview completely devoted to getting to know each other and "fit." Lasted about 2 hours total with four thirty minute slots, all on Zoom (this was late 2022 so unsure if that was COVID related). Talked to recruiting manager again. Offered a position at a law firm. Asked for clarity on where I stood in the process. Told they would not have a decision soon. Delayed a couple weeks hoping for progress. Asked recruiting manager for another update. Told still in the mix but they were leaning another way. Took the law firm job and withdrew my application.
