Personality Test
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
1st phone screen was a call with an analyst who'd been there about a year. 2nd phone screen was with an associate who'd been there a few years (this one started by asking me if I had any questions since the previous interview so be prepared for that). They were both very nice and courteous etc etc. After contacting me for the final interview they asked me to complete a personality test where you pick what words you and others would use to describe you.
Final interview was with 5 or 6 people who were portfolio/client relationship managers and one associate. The 'interview' with the HR rep was you asking questions rather than him asking you questions - so be prepared with lots of questions for an HR rep.

I got the sense that it was extremely important to them that you know WHAT the role will entail and be able to explain that - every single interviewer asked me about that. I think they want you to know before hand that you may have a lot of mundane tasks to complete and be ok with that. They are very good about giving an accurate portrayal of the job and not misleading anyone about the role.
Overall it was a very positive process - the recruiters are responsive, organized and very good about following up, which is a rarity with HR departments. They didn't keep me waiting weeks on end for a response. The interviewers were also very civil, not quite as responsive as HR, but they were very respectful too.

My only complaint is with one of the interviewers who was either extremely distracted, trying to determine how I would react to less-than-nice treatment or unwilling to conduct an interview. He'd ask a question then keep scrolling through his phone while i answered it, pocket it once i was done speaking then pick up my resume and skim through it in awkward silence while thinking up a question. I know no one looks at resumes until they have the candidate in front of them but for a place that prides itself on how great/respectful people are, that was going overboard. Also, the whole "I'm clearly not listening to you as you respond" was not ok. Everyone else was great though.

Although I thought all the interviews went well, I must have been a terrible candidate cos they rejected me then reposted the job so....yeah. They did tweak the job description though so that might be part of it.
