Experienced Associate, Healthcare IBD

Applied on Harris Williams career website. Received an email from recruiter following week requesting a phone interview. She informed me they were in the late stages of the hiring process, and were preparing to submit an offer to a candidate, but were interviewing additional candidates in case their desired candidate declined. Phone interview lasted 30 minutes and consisted of straightforward story questions, such as "walk me through your resume." Since I had investment banking experience at the boutique level, she asked me about my relevant healthcare deal experience, and why I was interested in making a lateral move to Harris Williams's healthcare group. She did not ask me any technical questions. At the end of the interview, she asked if I had any questions. I mentioned that I had reached out to a couple business school contacts working at the bank who had given me a good insider's perspective of life at the bank, but that I would be interested in hearing her perspective on what qualities make an ideal associate at Harris Williams. She reiterated the common qualities mentioned on WSO and said that she was looking for someone extremely organized and detail oriented with a strong interest in investment banking and the demonstrated stamina to do the job. I thanked her for her response and asked her about timing of next steps. She said that she would be on vacation the following week, but that she should know if they would be moving forward with onsite second round interviews for additional candidates within two weeks. When I followed up two weeks later, she confirmed that they had extended the offer to the aforementioned candidate, who had accepted it.
