Please describe the interview / hiring process.
First round was 1 on 1 with a principal. It was a mix of past deal questions, why H.I.G., and a paper LBO. The paper LBO started qualitatively, as though it was a consulting case interview, where the interviewee had to ask the right questions to get more data. The case then shifted to the paper LBO. At the end of the paper LBO math, there was a discussion of the business itself, what diligence questions you would ask, and what the biggest risks are associated with the business. The next round was a super day with principals and MDs. Each interview was 30-45 minutes. These were a mix of behavioral and technical. The technical was primarily case-driven. Some paper LBOs, some qualitative cases focused on business risks and what diligence questions you would ask.
