Interview
Landed the interview through an acquaintance. Hines does not do any structured programmes in London, so the process was run by HR from the Houston office.
First phone interview was with London HR. it was typical behavioral, discuss background and motivations. They try and match you to a team based on your interests, i chose asset management. The next phone interview was with the director of asset management for Europe. It was 50/50 behavioral with some technical questions (nothing too detailed, but you will need to know the business to have talking points). The third interview was an excel modelling assessment. It was a 2hr test, they send over the excel file with the case and you need to email it back within 2 hrs. It's fairly basic (Cash Flow, IRR, Debt Service), the director did mention everybody learns modelling on the job so they don't expect you to be an expert.
Interview Questions
I wouldn't say anything was unexpected, however they do go into detail to understand your motivations. I was asked multiple times in multiple ways why I wanted to be in Real Estate Asset Management.

Started with a behavioral phone interview. Asked if I had any experiences with DCFs. Got I voted to the super day, where it was 3-4 interviews. Not super technical, mostly fit questions and market knowledge questions.
Interview Questions
There weren’t any difficult or unexpected questions. Just know the real estate market, understand your past experiences, and know some of the finance for IB interviews.
