Interview Details

What did the interview consist of?
Group Interview
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
First in English, then in Chinese. The interview was conducted in a group of 7, and it was divided into two parts. Mostly behavioral questions though. After the first round group discussion, you can see who the interviewers favor as they tend to grill on them more
What were the most difficult or unexpected interview questions asked?
1. Will you get a master or advanced degree?
2. Given the performances of each candidate in the interview, please use one word to describe them and why? If you have the chance to hire one, who would you hire?
3. Given a situation where your colleagues and you have stumbled upon a difficult problems that cannot be solved for a long time, who would you approach for further assistance? Your superior or your other colleagues? and Why?

*Note to candidates: all of the questions above are asked in Chinese
How did you answer each of these questions (please be specific)?
1. Given it is a training program that lasts 2 years, I have to show them my desire to improve myself, yet not just to abandon them after two years to go on to b-school. I have to demonstrate to them that I will stay put for more than two years, yet given the position I am applying to (Internet finance), you will also need to have a strong drive to learn and be updated to the latest technology.
2. I just used the most courteous way possible to describe each person's strengths and weaknesses.
3. Boss, provided that we have tried it enough, I said more time on our own will be a waste

Overall Ranking

Overall Ranking is a score from 1 star (very bad) to 5 stars (excellent) generated based on the Company Reviews of current and former employees at this company, taking everything into account.

The number you see in the middle of the donut pie chart is the simple average of these scores. If you hover over the various sections of the donut, you will see the % breakdown of each score given.

The percentile score in the title is calculated across the entire Company Database and uses an adjusted score based on Bayesian Estimates (to account for companies that have few reviews). Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.
