Got a first round at HL Rx for a summer analyst position through random networking on LinkedIn. Talked to a cool senior analyst who invited me back for a 1st round after our networking cold call. First round was basic IB technicals: walk me through the financial statements, cap structure, what is PIK interest. Nothing major. Second round interview was incredibly chill and was basically just me asking an analyst questions. 3rd round was superday which consisted of 4 behavioral interviews and 1 technical. Technicals were: about interest coverage/ EBITDA coverage ratios, what should a company do when their debt is trading above 1, why would a company with strong positive CFs file for bankruptcy, and other similar questions all revolving around Rx. Unsure if this was a super unique process (due to COVID-19) but my first two interviews were super chill but the superday was much more intense. FYI I did not end up getting the position.
