Summer Associate - Restructuring

Met HL through a campus event where they were actively recruiting for their M&A and Rx summer associate programmes for MBAs. They invited us to apply to their restructuring simulation and competition. Teams of 5 were selected from 4 different schools and brought to the London office to compete in the challenge. Winners were offered fast track through to the super day.

Super day consisted of 3 rounds of interviews with candidates being excused in between rounds until there were 3 left at the end. Interviews were generally 2 HL associates or VPs to a candidate. Last round was with the SVP of restructuring and recruitment. Successful candidates were then asked to a final interview dinner which was very casual and was more a fit/cultural/get to know you dinner.
