Summer Financial Analyst

The process began with a resume / cover letter / transcripts drop on the schools career site, with the first round interview taking place half a week later. It was one half-hour skype interview with two interviewers, with a mix of technicals and fit/behavioural questions. The technicals involved accounting flow-through questions with weird numbers (decimals were involved) and distressed questions (e.g. EV of 280, senior debt of 200, subordinated debt of 100, whats the Equity Value). Fit questions were standard (tell me about a teamwork / leadership experience).
The experience was overall quite negative, the interviewers were clearly bored and unengaged, on their phones the entire time and barely acknowledging things with grunts.
