Evaluates both technical skills and behavioral fit. I would expect an initial recruiter or phone screen covering my background, motivation, and interest in HSBC, followed by one or more technical interviews. For an analytics or data-focused role, I would prepare SQL, Python or Excel, data analysis, problem-solving, and data-quality questions, along with practical business scenarios. I would also expect behavioral questions around teamwork, stakeholder management, prioritization, and handling ambiguity. Finally, I would prepare clear examples from my previous projects using the STAR framework and be ready to explain how my experience can support HSBC’s business and clients.
