General Interview Information
Interview Details
- 4 long and time-consuming competency questions. Very important to take the time to answer these well otherwise direct ding. A good place to start is the strategic/annual report.
*Online questions screening*
Step 2: Testing
- If successful at the online application, invite to a Situational Judgement Test where you have to say which of the options is least/most effective (quite hard and very focussed on integrity situations, SHL, untimed)
- If successful, invite to a logical reasoning test (normal difficulty, SHL, 24 questions 20 minutes)
*HR screening*
Step 3: Phone interview
- 45-60 minutes long. Conducted by outsourced specialist typing your responses. Entirely motivational/competency based. Very important to link examples back to HSBC's values.
- If successful, you get an email indicating you've met the benchmark within a couple of hours/half a day and your CV/Application/Test scores are forwarded to the business

Step 4: Assessment Centre
- Case study
- Group task
- 2 interviews
- If successful, offer within a couple of hours
