Please describe the interview / hiring process.
About three weeks after submitting the application, I received an invitation to take an online numerical reasoning assessment. The following day, I received a call from a recruiter to set up a time for the first interview. Four of the five interviewers called before the scheduled time. There were five scheduled interviews but the last one canceled due to work demands in the office. Three of the four I spoke with were in the team I applied for, the fourth was in a different team based in the same office suite. Questions covered everything: conceptual, technical, markets, news-based, quantitative, and the odd-ball ones to see how you think on your feet. (Think: how many ping pong balls would fit in an olympic swimming pool.) Each interviewer focused on a different type of question, so when it was news-based, there weren't any technical questions. Work culture seemed good, the team was small and all of them had been there for at least five years. Work culture seemed good, too: when I asked, they all indicated that they were able to have solid social lives on the weekends and even during the week on occasion. They were all quite amiable, too. But don't let that fool you: the interview questions were very difficult, and they pried very hard when I gave my answers.
