Had a first-round screen over the phone, then a second-round Zoom. The questions were light technical and more behavioral. The superday consisted of 5 30-minute interviews. They grilled me on the resume, and it was very conversational. The technicals were very straightforward and judged relative to peers. I was overall incredibly impressed with how nice the team is.
Interview Questions
Honestly, it is really about how well you are able to connect with the team. Some of the interviews we went right into questions, others we talked for a bit and really were able to spark a great conversation.

When I applied, first got an OA which I cleared 100%. Then within 2 weeks, got notified that I have been selected for first round interview. The interview was 30 mins with 70% technical and 30% behavioral. They test you on your projects and a couple of basic technical questions that any Software Engineer should know. Then they ask about some behavioral questions such as "How do you manage time when you have academics and multiple projects to work on"? "What are your thoughts on GenAI and should it be used in companies? If so, then how would you ensure that you are good at using it to be more efficient?"

Given it was a strong connection of a referral source of a MD, interview process was short and only with VPs, Senior VPs and MDS and it was primarily all behavioral with some technicals sprinkled in that were super basic such as walking through a DCF, the 3 statements etc.
Interview Questions
It was all mostly behavioral so all straightforward questions such as tell me about yourself, why the firm, why make the switch from your previous bank, why this industry, deal experience that you've already had

Difficult process in my opinion. Only made it to first round after the OA, and had an HR call plus a call with an Associate. Was grilled on technicals, including industry knowledge and industry specific technicals. they expect a high level of technical prowess and for you to really like Jefferies.

Interview
I networked with an MD who was an alumni of my school -- I subsequently received an interview invite for the San Francisco Technology IB team. This consisted of a 30 minute interview with an analyst and an assosicate.

The interview was very behavioral -- expect the standard why banking, what is the hardest thing you've ever done, describe a time you made an impact, why Jefferies.

They asked one technical question that had to do with the number of shares outstanding, strike price, etc. That's it. So make sure you get that correct.

Didn't make it past the first round so don't know what the super day is like.
Interview Questions
They only asked one hard technical question: Company X granted 10K RSUs, vesting over 4 years at 25% annually. Currently, 50% have vested. Original shares were 2M. How many shares are outstanding after vesting?

Got a first round following an employee referral for Jefferies' Houston office. Interview was on Zoom with an analyst and an associate (recruiting head). All questions were asked by the analyst.
Interview Questions
I got about 2-3 behavioral questions (walk me through your CV, why Jefferies, why IBD), before my interviewer delved into O&G technicals. Got questions such as "Rank each vertical from lowest to highest beta", "What are some recent deals Jefferies has worked on that interested you", "What are the current crude oil + nat gas prices", and some more basic ones like "Walk me through a DCF", "Why do we use NAV instead of DCFs? When would we prefer to use a DCF?", as well as WACC, discount rates, EV/EBITDAX questions in relation to O&G valuations and more.

I was pushed directly to a virtual superday by an MD from my school. It was 3 20 minute interviews but interviewers were usually 5 minutes late so ~15 total.
Almost all behavioral/conversational topics, only asked about 3 valuation methodologies and how capex effects 3 statements. Lots of questions about my upcoming internship. Asked why Jefferies in each one
Interview Questions
I did not receive any difficult questions. Everything came off my resume or basic questions
