What did the interview consist of?
1 on 1 Interview
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
It was a pretty weird process. I received an invite for a first round for the generalist summer analyst internship Saturday morning for the following Monday. I had done 3 coffee chats prior to the interview (1 analyst, 1 associate, 1 VP). Prepared by running through the 400Qs. The interview was supposed to be a 2-on-1 with one guy asking the behaviorals and the other asking the technicals, but only the behavioral guy showed up.
Got asked:
Tell me about yourself, why investment banking, why jefferies, rank the following qualities: smartness, hard working, attention to detail, reliability, how confident are you in your technicals, tell me about a time you worked as a team
Then got time to ask a few questions at the end. Overall I thought it went well but didn't move forward.
