Sophomore Intern (J-NOBLE)

J-NOBLE Fellows recruit, unsurprisingly, through the J-NOBLE Diversity Symposium. This is a diversity program for freshmen and sophomores, freshmen can interview for J-NOBLE Fellowship, which includes a sophomore rotational internship, a stipend, mentorship and events throughout the year at JEF HQ. I applied in December, was notified of acceptance in mid-March and interviewed in April (superday described below), hearing back exactly 1 week later.

The interview was pretty straightforward. Three 2 on 1 interviews, each around 30 minutes. Very basic behaviorals and a case study. Superday consisted of a case study, behaviorals (tell me about yourself types, describe a time when, basic stuff like that.) Case study involved a potential healthy snack company going public and why Jefferies was a good fit to do this. Some very limited techs (walk me through a DCF) and market oriented questions as well.
