Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I was reached out to by the head of recruiting, who was connected to me by an incoming summer analyst. Had a coffee chat with the head of recruiting (Associate), then set up a first round virtual interview. The first-round interview consisted of two analysts who primarily asked basic behavioral questions (TMAY, Why Jefferies), basic technical questions (3 Main Valuation Methods, EV/Equity Value), and basic oil and gas technical questions (4 Verticals of O&G). Received a call that same day to schedule Superday, where I was flown out to Houston. Superday consisted of four 30-minute behavioral interviews. Repeatedly asked about the outlook on the industry, why O&G, and where I would invest in the market, and why. Called back within 3 days with results.
