Summer Analyst

First I had a phone interview with the employee I knew-- very relaxed, just to see if I was competent and wouldn't defame his name. Then, I had a phone interview with two associates from the Charlotte office-- a few very basic technicals: walk me through a DCF, how does depreciation and capex affect the 3 balance sheets, 3 strengths and weaknesses, blah blah blah.

I flew out the next week for a superday. First, was a dinner the night before--relaxed and just chatting. The next day was 3, 2-on-1 interviews each lasting 20 minutes. No real structure to the interviews other than each asked their own technicals. Example questions: asked me about the current S&P levels, 10 year rates, 17X17 and 21X21, why would you choose one building when the two are exactly the same, walk me through valuing a building, walk me through valuing a company, DCF in detail, etc.

Two days later I got a phone call saying I was "on hold" because they haven't finished interviewing. Never heard back.
