Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Non-core process at Jefferies is especially difficult. Typically 100 candidates end up receiving first-round phone interviews and 3-4 people end up receiving offers. Process is best streamlined by networking with alumni from your school so that you can be 1 of 2 resumes submitted from their school. First round phone interview will usually have you force ranked among 5 candidates and 1-2 will move on to the next round. Overally, the process moves along at a fairly standard pace and works well. If you are good, then you should be able to keep moving through and be able to receive an offer (but also need the right support from alumni).
