Interview Details

What did the interview consist of?
Phone Interview
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Got a call pretty late in the process (mid February) saying they wanted to set up a phone interview with me. I was waiting to hear back from the bank I ended up accepting from so I decided to go through with it even though ER wasn't what I wanted it was just what my friend that worked there put me down for.

The actual interview itself was kind of awkward because as I previously stated it came at an unsuspecting time and I didnt actually have time to check for alumni connections (the interview was 36 hours after the email was sent to me). Anyway my friend who worked there had told me to hit up an alumni who started working there just a year ago and I told him I would rather wait until after the phone interview (had literally no time between email and phone interview) and he ended up being on the interview for the 2-1 which made me feel like kind of a jackass.

Anyway the interview itself went by kind of without a hitch, not a ton of behavioral just besides the story, they asked me questions on my resume from a couple years back and wanted specifics which was fairly odd. I interned at a small AM shop last summer doing ER so a ton of questions on ways I went about looking at stocks etc etc.

In the end I didnt get the offer (they actually never even contacted me) but I ended up getting an offer the next week from the firm I wanted to it all worked out.
